Course Outline
Day 1
We will start the camp on Sunday evening for a brief social meet and greet (location and time TBD). Then on Monday morning we will gather at 8:50am out front of the main base lodge to go through group and trainer allocations. The day will then be spent strengthening your connection with the trainer, checking skills and understanding while starting to engage and create clarity on the groups collective outcomes/goals for the week.
Day2
9am start on Tuesday. Day two is all about getting stuck into the nitty and gritty of your skiing. Understanding how you currently move relative to the goals and outcomes initiated yesterday. Using video analysis you will collaborate with the trainer and begin to put the pieces of your developmental road map together for the week ahead. (day 2 is usually a BIG skiing day).
Day 3
Wednesday morning is OFF, yes you read that right. You are encourage to spend the morning practicing the skills you worked on in the previous session or if you need take a restful morning and reflect on the training thus far. You will also see the trainers out skiing together, refining our skills and pushing our own limits. The training on Wednesday starts at 1pm where we will gather everyone and run an informative and collaborative group session where you have the opportunity to ski with different trainers and listen to them describe ski outcomes in a new and insightful way. Wednesday afternoon/evening will then be our longer form indoor educational session (approx 2hrs) where you will have the opportunity to listen to our trainers speak on ski theory and/or industry related developments.
Day 4
9:30am start on Thursday. Day four the focus turns inwards again as you ski with your original trainer (the one you started the week with). The goal of our fourth day is to continue working hard on your personal skill needs through drills, new cues, and guided repetition. Lots of video is on the menu for day 4 as well. Once the day on snow is complete we will host all of the Rookies for a social drink to celebrate the week (location and time TBD)...this ones on us ;-)
Day 5
9:30am start on Friday. Our fifth and final day is about purposeful and intentional milage, put into practice the skills you have been acquiring over the week. Your trainer will help you put the missing pieces together on any tasks you feel need completing and all the while having a blast with the group as you reflect on a fantastic week spent in the mountains pushing your limits and broadening your ski horizons.
