Technical Tune Up

Technical Tune Up 1 - Dec 18th & 19th
Technical Tune Up 2 - Feb 2nd & 3rd
Technical Tune Up 3 - Feb 5th & 6th

Our Technical Tune Up is designed for skiers who want to refine their fundamentals and reignite their performance on snow. Whether you're preparing for the season, looking to level up your personal skiing, or simply craving a more connected, confident feel in every turn, our Technical Tune Up delivers the insight and challenge you need.

At Inside Edge Coaching, we believe a great experience starts with a great connection. Over two immersive days, you can expect Guy and Josh to assess, guide, and develop your skiing using principles grounded in biomechanics, modern technique, and individualised feedback. You'll train in a supportive group environment that reflects our core value: connect before we correct — ensuring you're both seen and supported as you push your limits.

Expect high-quality coaching, meaningful feedback, video analysis, and plenty of on-snow mileage. This isn’t about one perfect turn. It’s about building awareness, unlocking efficiency, and walking away with tools that make a real difference in how you ski.

Each day is approx 5.5hrs of training with 45mins/1hr for lunch. â€‹â€‹

Our Values:

  • Connect Before We Correct

We lead with empathy, building trust and belonging as the foundation for all growth.

  • Science Meets Style

We coach with a deep understanding of physics, biomechanics, and skill acquisition — always applied with creativity and feel.

  • Excellence, Every Turn

We pursue technical and personal excellence in every session, for every skier — because every detail matters.

  • Passion Drives Performance

We love what we do, and that energy fuels a learning environment that’s inspiring, committed, and alive.

  • Growth Through Challenge

We embrace discomfort as a necessary part of learning — and help our skiers do the same.

Camp Outline

Day 1

The camp starts at 8:50am out front of the main base lodge (ready to ski), we will go through group introductions and begin to connect as a team. The remainder of the day will be spent creating clarity and strengthening your understanding on the chosen outcomes the group wants to work on. Discovering what you currently do relative to the desired outcomes is key on the first day of our Technical Tune Ups, it is also a necessity prior to receiving any feedback. Over the first day we use video analysis, elite demonstration, and simple explanations to help you embark on your skill acquisition journey.

Day2

We will meet at 9am (ready to ski) out front of the main base lodge. Day two is all about getting stuck into the nitty gritty of your skiing. Continuing to strengthen your understanding and help learn how you currently move relative to the goals and outcomes initiated yesterday will be the starting point of day two. From there using video analysis you will collaborate with the trainer and connect the dots on your developmental road map together. (Day 2 is usually a BIG skiing day).

How to get there

Flying: All the nearest airports are listed on the map.

  • Comox Valley Airport (YQQ) is only 39 km from Mount Washington.

  • Nanaimo Airport (YCD) is 148 km from Mount Washington.

  • Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is 222 km from Mount Washington. You will need to take a BC ferry service from Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen on the main land to Vancouver Island if there is no onward domestic flight booked to the island. We recommend taking a domestic flight to Comox Airport then travelling by rental car to the mountain.

Driving: Mount Washington is situated on Vancouver Island in BC’s Vancouver Island Ranges. The nearest major cities are Comox and Courtney with Nanaimo 1.5hrs away.

We recommend staying up at Mount Washington or near Comox and Courtney as that will make driving easier.
